The building was reinforced. The ceiling inside was removed and restored to the original height. The building was then lifted and set aside to permit the digging of the foundation.

A week into the project. This stage of the job is very laborious but progressing well. The crawl space under the building is very low making digging by hand slow and wet.

The contract is signed!
Phase 1 - moving the Heritage section of the building, digging and foundation, placing the building back onto the new foundation & renovation of this section.
Phase 2 - We will be asking for volunteers to help build the additions to the main structure.

We have the PERMIT!!!
Discussions are underway with the builder to have everything in place for a Spring start as soon as conditions allow.
The plans are READY, the Architect is SET and all the paperwork is on the GO! The permits are being prepared and any necessary papers tha are still outstanding are being worked on. It looks like we will start as soon as the weather permits.
The Terra Cotta Community Centre as it looked until May 2010
The "Heritage " portion will be preserved and eventually returned to its original appearance.
