The foundation was started.

 The footing has been poured - the foundation will soon begin.

The hole for the foundation was started.

The building was reinforced, the ceiling inside was removed and restored to the original height - the church style windows will be inserted for the first time. The building was lifted and set aside for the digging of the hole for the foundation.

The metal beams are under the building. The side kitchen addition has been removed.

A week into the project - here are a few pictures. This stage of the job is very laborious but is progressing well. The crawl space under the building is very low making digging by hand slow and wet.

The contract is signed!

Phase I - moving the Heritage section of the building, digging and foundation, placing the Heritage building back on the new foundation and renovation of this section .

Phase 2 - We will be asking for volunteers to come help build the additions. Please contact us to sign up.

Negotiations are underway. The start date is quickly approaching.

We have the PERMIT!!!

Discussions are underway with the builder to put everything in place for a Spring start as soon as weather and conditions allow.

The Terra Cotta Community Centre as it looks until May 2010.

The  "Heritage" portion will be preserved and returned to its original appearance. The renewed additions will be constructed to match the original.

The plans are Ready, the Architect is Set and all the paperwork is on the Go! The permits are being prepared and any necessary papers still outstanding are being worked on. It looks like we will start as soon as the weather permits.
